One of the big topics in the podcast industry in 2022 has been why there have been so few new “hit” podcasts – despite all the growth of podcast listening over the past few years,
 
Annalise Nielsen at Pacific Content came to us with an interesting hypothesis: “Podcasts are powerful for reaching targeted audiences with niche interests, which is why we don’t see many podcast ‘blockbusters’”.
